7. What happens if the power goes out?

If the power goes off and your broadband modem, router and VOZ Telephone Adapter do not have power, then your VOZ phone service will not function. You do have the option to configure your VOZ service with Follow Me so that you can forward your VOZ calls to your cell phone or other phone number in the event of a power outage. Many VOZ customers also install a Uninterrupable Power Supply (UPS) for their broadband modem, router & VOZ Telephone Adapter, which will allow you to continue using your service until UPS battery dies. However, if you are a Cable subscriber, unless the Cable company also has a UPS on their equipment in your area, they may also be affected by the outage and your service may still not function.
