a. What is VoIP?
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), is a technology that allows you to make telephone calls using a high-speed or broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analog) phone line.
With Voz you may call anyone who has a telephone number - including local, long distance, mobile/cellular phones, and international numbers.
Voz also allows you to use a traditional phone through an adapter. The adapter converts the phone from analog to digital, and also converts the jack from a standard RJ11 telephone jack to an Ethernet (RJ45) jack.
You can also use a VoIP telephone, which is purely digital and has an Ethernet jack, instead of a regular telephone jack. There are even Wi-Fi VOIP phones now, which will connect to the internet via WiFi.
