How does 911 work with VOZ?

VOZ currently offers Enhanced 911 (E911) throughout Puerto Rico, with plans for nationwide coverage. With E911, VOZ delivers your registered address and phone number to the Puerto Rico's emergency call center (PSAP), which is responsible for dispatching assistance to your location. If your address information cannot be transmitted to the PSAP, you will still be routed to basic 911 services and they may ask you for your location and phone number. Activation of basic 911 service is immediate. VOZ will activate your E911 services within one week of subscription. VOZ's 911 service will not function in the event of an Internet or power outage, if your Internet is suspended or disconnected, or if your VOZ account is closed.
